Erica Black series are high-end modules with unique functionality. Only the highest quality components are used and all inputs and outputs are protected against undesired overvoltage. When designing the Black Series, we did not economise on the module width, we put design and usability first. Big knobs are assigned to functions that make difference in sound. Together the Erica Black series are a range of modules that make an entire synthesizer.

The overall effect is stunning. Once powered up, my schoolboy excitement had me pulling up banks, sweeping through waves and smiling endlessly at the bewildering array of sonic soundbites. The wavetables are nicely organised and logical, with each bank offering a specific sound set by association; analogue-style waves, formant-based, acid-style sounds, vowel-based, etc. I have to say that I had a feeling I would love this module, and love it I do. There is a wealth of content available, with more on offer in ROM form from Erica Synth. But the real steal for me is the welcome ability to morph seamlessly from one wavetable to another. It’s gorgeous, but it’s no Mr Nice Guy, and can happily sound gnarly and gritty when required. Verdict: Excellence, 10/10- MusicTech
A smartly designed and classy wavetable machine with balls, that could easily be your only VCO, and sound damn good doing it. Verdict: 8 - Future Music Magazine

Black Wavetable VCO wave banks guide by Suppish Mode — May 8, 2018
My Black Wavetable VCO’s 1V/Oct input is not tracking incoming CV signals correctly, it tracks only the highest notes from the sequencer/keyboard. What should I do?If the VCO tracks notes only above C4 or higher, please, make sure that the FREQUENCY knob is all way counter-clockwise, because this knob defines the lowest frequency you can get from the VCO.
My Black Wavetable VCO’s 1V/Oct input is not tracking incoming CV signals correctly, it tracks only the highest notes from the sequencer/keyboard, but sounds which come from the VCO are pretty low. What should I do?Please, make sure if your device’s output signal is unipolar (from 0V to +10V) because the Black Wavetable VCO’s 1V/Oct input is intended to track only positive CV signals. In case your device has a bipolar output signal (from -5V to +5V), we recommend you to use the Pico MScale: the upper part of this module adds +5V offset, so the signal from sequencer, which gives values from -5V to +5V for 1V/Oct, transforms into a signal which is compatible to the Black Wavetable VCO.
