Famous from the 80s productions, gated reverb is an audio processing technique that combines reverb with a noise gate to create punchy sounds while keeping the mix clean.
To access the new parameters, open the EFFECTS menu on the Nightverb and set GATED mode to C+G to enable both compressor and noise gate, CMP for compressor only, or NG for noise gate only. Both the compressor and noise gate offer three adjustable parameters. The one that shapes the sound most dramatically is the noise gate HOLD time.
This update also includes 15 new patches by Davide Puxeddu and Eraldo Bernocchi to help you explore the new features.
Update procedure:
1) Back up your old patches via SYSTEM → USB BACKUP (this step is essential).
2) Power off the Nightverb, connect it to your computer via USB, then power it on while holding DATA ENCODER and FREEZE. The device will appear as an external drive.
3) Open the drive and drag the .uf2 firmware file into the folder.
4) After that, put the Nightverb back into USB BACKUP mode and copy back the saved backup file — this converts your old patches to work with the new firmware.
Finally, add the new 1.02 patches via the USB MANAGE option.
