Vintage mode
The Vintage mode is too noisy - broken - unusable.
The Zen Delay's vintage mode is rather noisy and experimental and may behave like a broken unit- this is by design. The crackle and broken sounding BBD-type delay in this mode were implemented intentionally to allow for creating harsher, more industrial sounds (even with no input signal connected).
The best way to use it is with filter enabled and not fully wet- this way you can hive nice texture to your sound without fully distorting it.
If you still consider this mode unusable, we would advise using one of the other 4 delay modes
